BIOF350 Lab 4: Ignoring small structures when flood-filling
Due Friday, September 27, by the end of the day
Starting with your flood fill algorithm from lab 3 or the in-class demo (find_inside.py), use your vesicle detection algorithm from lab 3 to ignore vesicles inside a structure to be filled. When the flood fill to find the inside of the structure touches an edge, run your vesicle detection algorithm on the edge. If the edge is part of a small structure like a vesicle or the inside of a mitochondria, color the small structure white, and continue the flood fill.
Your vesicle detector doesn't have to use flood fill for this to work.
