CS101 Assignment 2
Due Thursday, November 10, by the end of the day
Artificial Intelligence is becoming a big area of Computer Science in popular culture, after many years of semi-obscurity. For a bit more history here, see "AI winter of the 1990's and early 2000s" in the Wikipedia article here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AI_winter. Now that AI is back in force, we should keep an eye on what it can do! For this assignment, use AI to generate some kind of artistic work you think is cool. This could be a poem, story, picture, etc. A few options for AI:
- ChatGPT: The big one. Good for stories, poems, etc.
- MidJourney: I've used this one to generate images, but it does cost $10 for a month's use
- Bing: I haven't used this, but I hear it also generates images
- Rytr: Doesn't require registration or a phone number, good for generating stories and such.
Using the discussion forum for this will produce a little gallery of generated works, so you can all see what everybody else made. I'm hoping this gives some insight into AI generation capabilities. This sort of assignment has become somewhat popular among instructors as of late, so I realize you may have done something similar for a different class, in which case this assignment will be easy.
