GPU Programming Lab 8
Rotation and Movement
Due Monday, November 7
Make a demo that has two rotating things (spheres, some kind of gear, whatever) that are different sizes, and rotate in contact with each other at a realistic-looking speed. Alternativly, if you'd prefer, make a long moving element and have one thing that rotates in contact with it, like a wheel.
Suggestions:
- You can use blender and load_object_cleaner, and load two of the same object, but display them at different scales
- Alternatively, you can use tessellation and a cube, or use trig to generate it all in a geometry shader, or whatever you like
- Feel free to put it in a game engine if you have one handy you know how to use (like last Fall's 392 or whatever)
- Don't get too carried away. Project 2 will be out soon.
