Game Design Lab 8

Using Blender

For this lab, create a 3D model of a mug with a handle, made out of a shiny (but not too shiny) material. It has to use a cylinder, but doesn't need to be tapered. An extruded torus is also possible, with a short cylinder for the base. The handle can be half a torus carefully shifted about.

There is a blender tutorial which covers the program quite well: Blender Tutorial (long)
It is long, and makes the assumption that you are using Blender to create 3D animations, etc. That's not exactly what we're doing, which is making objects to put into a computer game. Still, I have been finding the tutorial rather interesting, and it covers everything in this lab within the first hour or so.
