Day 2

Well, mistakes have been made! Last night I didnt set up my Hammock and stand because I was too tired and so I just went to bed in a regular bed figuring it would be soft enough that it wouldn't matter. Boy was I wrong! It took me soo long to fall asleep last night, and I didnt take any Melatonin either which just made it take even longer! I probiably nodded off arround 2 or 3 in the morning. It also does not help that I like to listen to stories at a soft volume as I fall asleep, but anything like that will wake dad up so I will listen at a very quiet volume instead, which is less effective. Well regardless, all these factors come together in the morning at 8:30 AM, with a sore hip from having most of my weight on regular matris all night rather than my glorious 0 preassure point hammock. vs Seeing as I likely only got 5-6 hours of sleep rather than 8-9, I was exosted. I dont know what fool decited that hotells should only serve breakfast until 9, but when I find out... well, lets just hope I never find out. Oh, and this is compounded by now being in MST instead of PST

Still excessivly early or no, the breakfast was delicous! Being comprised of mini cheese olmlets, sausage links, biscuits and gravy, and an assortemnt of continental "breakfast" supplies.

We decited that a quick visit to Shashone Falls would be a nice way to start the day, and boy ways it. It is a fantastic waterfall! and I asume, one of 2 waterfalls that makes Twin Falls "twin falls" instead of "solo fall." On the way over we spotted this Dodge Charger being used as a driver's Ed. vehicle and we just had to get a picture Still, on to the falls! Spectacular views! I also noticed this really nice looking cave. It would probiably make a prety nice office. After the main falls I went down to another point to get another angle, but the view was not nearly as good. What was good however was the lizard I found sunning its self on the rock! Naturally we had to stop at the gift shop and I picked up a little jar shaped shot glass. Later I looked these up on amazon, naturally the gift shop had them marked up 300% or so. After shashone falls we headed for the road. I let dad drive as I slept, hard. We made it to a wonderfull rest stop on the shore of lake Bonneville, A giant lake ocupying most of Utah held back from destroying Idaho only by a glacial ice wall. So if that ice wall melts (from say, global warming) its good by Idaho! Fortunatly for us, that happend already about 20,000 years ago, so the lake is actually gone and its safe now!

After depart the rest stop I went back to sleep only to wake up again in Snowville UT when we stopped for some more A&W and then went back to sleep.

Dad drove all the way to Ogden UT, but he had to get up early after a long day too and needed a nap. We stopped at a Wendys for him to get a nice nap. Durring this stop I called an online friend of mine friend of mine in Salt Lake City called Alan_Animal and arranged to meet at the Applebees. I also wrote the backend of this blog here setting up a few templates and the csv files.

Dad drove in to Salt Lake, on the way we saw this wonderfull storm hitting a mountain. Man, I love these realistic shaders and rtx graphics! ;)
We saw this truck on the way in, and I didnt recognize the number so I looked it up: 1791 Hypoclorite solution/ Sodium Hypoclorite! Either appear to be a Corrosive/Toxic Oxidizer that produce toxic fumes when heated! Yay! Lets just make sure we are no where near that thing if it crashes!

We managed to meet up with Alan and his son at the applebees, it was a fun time, but we both had things to do and places to go. Hopefully I can run into alan and maybe some of the others on the way back. Back to the road! We started heading for the border with Arizona. On the way out of town we saw these interesting things that look a bit like aliens, but I suspect are actually street lights. The plan for tonight was to get as far as Page AZ, as it turns out, that was too ambisious and we only got to Scipio UT before looking for a hotel, unfortunatly the 1 hotel in Scipio didnt have an rooms that where "ready" for us, so we moved on to the slightly larger town of Salina UT and stopped in the Super 8 Motel. Not as nice as the La Quinta last night, but nice enough. Especialy what with the extra floor space I used to set up my hammock, and after a long day's sleep I went to bed in my wonderfull hammock, breakfast ends at 9 again so heres to another short night!
