	Lifespan is increasing
	So is health care and nursing home cost
	People don't like nursing homes
	Can we fix it with technology?
		Depends what they need

Are ceiling sensors even the right way?
	Power use, AC power and waveform disruption

Corporate science:
	Can be profitable!
	Google, etc. employ "data scientists"

That's not what everyone wants.
An example:  Logos and having a Ph.D
	The only non-starter
	Data caching is not a new art
	But it's useful!

Programming can be profitable
	So says the Internet

Profitability as a measure of usefulness:
	What can technology do for people?
		A mundane example:  Laundry
		A friend moves to the East Coast:  1870 vs. Now
		Transportation:  Heaters and phone interface in the Leaf
	People will pay for what they find useful

What you probably won't want to do after this major:
	Information Technology
	Fix computers
	It's still good to know how!
